Bourton Rovers become charity partner.

Headspace is delighted to announce that Bourton Rovers FC will be one of our charity partners this year helping to raise awareness of youth mental health and support visibility of the Headspace brand.

Kathryn Pulham, Headspace Chair of Trustees says “We are thrilled that Bourton Rovers Football Club have offered us this opportunity. We know that male suicide rates continue to be a concern so it’s really important to keep talking about mental health and emotional well-being. We hope this partnership will encourage the lads to talk and seek help if they need to. It really is ‘ok not to feel ok’ “.

Headspace is a registered charity providing support to young people to express their worries and concerns, offering counselling and therapies to under 19’s in the North Cotswolds. “We are a new charity” says Kathryn, “and there is an overwhelming need for the services we offer in this local area. Youth mental health services simply can’t cope with the demand and young people are waiting up to a year to get the help they need. This isn’t acceptable”

Headspace offers counselling to 26 young people who attend The Cotswold School and is seeking to expand this provision significantly during 2021 as well as offering a range of therapies in addition to or as an alternative to counselling.

You can find out more or get involved by contacting Kathryn directly at admin@myheadspace.org.uk. You can also donate securely using the link at the bottom of this page.
