Headspace supports local derby.

Headspace were delighted to support Bourton Rovers Football Club today in their important local derby match at home against Moreton Rangers FC. Congratulations to the first team for a great win!

Headspace is the charity partner for Bourton Rovers raising awareness of youth mental health for under 19’s in the North Cotswolds. Kathryn Pulham, Chair of Trustees for Headspace, was at the match with the Headspace stand commenting “it’s really important to us that Headspace becomes a recognisable brand for people in the local area. We need to keep talking about mental health especially for young people. Today was a great opportunity to do that”

Headspace is a registered charity providing support to young people to express their worries and concerns, offering counselling and therapies to under 19’s in the North Cotswolds. “We are a new charity” says Kathryn, “and there is an overwhelming need for the services we offer in this local area. Youth mental health services simply can’t cope with the demand and young people are waiting up to a year to get the help they need. This isn’t acceptable”

Headspace offers counselling to 26 young people who attend The Cotswold School and is seeking to expand this provision significantly during 2021 as well as offering a range of therapies in addition to or as an alternative to counselling.
