Welcoming Emma Rawlings to Headspace
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Emma Rawlings as Headspace’s new Outdoor Learning Coordinator.
Emma joins Headspace at an exciting time as we continue to expand our outdoor wellbeing spaces and nature-based provision across the North Cotswolds. Her role will focus on maintaining and developing our outdoor spaces, while working closely alongside our wellbeing and mentoring teams to support young people through outdoor activities and experiences.
Over recent months, Headspace has been investing heavily in outdoor learning and wellbeing environments, including our allotment and green spaces. Emma’s appointment will help ensure these spaces continue to grow into safe, welcoming and engaging areas where young people can improve their wellbeing, build confidence and reconnect with the world around them.
Emma will support the delivery of a range of outdoor activities for young people experiencing mental health challenges, SEND needs or barriers to education. Working alongside our mentoring and wellbeing staff, she will help create opportunities for young people to learn new skills, develop positive relationships and benefit from time outdoors.
Paul Heming, CEO of Headspace, said:
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Emma to the Headspace team. Outdoor wellbeing provision is becoming an increasingly important part of the support we offer young people, particularly those struggling with anxiety, EBSA and low confidence. Emma’s role will help us continue developing these spaces and ensure more young people can benefit from them.”
Headspace would also like to place on record its sincere thanks to Ernest Cook Trust, whose grant funding has made this appointment possible. Their support will play a significant role in helping us develop sustainable outdoor spaces and expand opportunities for young people to access nature-based wellbeing support.
Emma’s appointment marks another important step forward as Headspace continues to grow its outdoor learning and wellbeing provision for young people across the North Cotswolds.
We look forward to sharing updates and photographs as Emma begins work across our outdoor projects over the coming months.
