GLOUCESTERSHIRE PARENT CARER FORUM - Peer Support - For Parent Carers of young people with additional needs (with or without a diagnosis). An opportunity to join our supportive, caring and welcoming members to share stories, experiences and knowledge.

Are you worried about your child's wellbeing? Discover strategies to nurture resilience, guided by trained facilitators.
You are not alone.
Parenting is rewarding yet challenging, especially when concerns arise. Let's Talk Well run FREE parent and carer support groups that meet face-to-face or virtually via Zoom.
Share experiences, learn and grow in a safe place.
Developed by Let's Talk Well, the workshops are designed to inform and support parents and carers, helping them to understand their child’s distress and discover effective strategies to improve their resilience. The group is also an opportunity for parents and carers going through similar experiences to encourage, support and learn from each other in a safe and friendly environment.
Each group is led by 2 facilitators who are fully-trained and experienced in parenting and young people’s mental health. Parents/carers are encouraged to commit to all 4 sessions to gain the most benefit out of the group (plus there is an optional 5th session, details below).

Young Gloucestershire is offering a series of friendly, online workshops to support parents in understanding their children’s mental health. These sessions are designed to provide practical advice, reassurance, and simple strategies to help everyday challenges feel more manageable.
Whether your child is approaching adolescence or already navigating the teenage years, these workshops will help you feel more confident in supporting their wellbeing.

Understanding the impact of social media on mental health
Communicating effectively with teenagers
