We did it! - Unit 7
We’re absolutely delighted to share that our JustGiving campaign has reached its target — and it’s all thanks to the incredible support of our community.
A huge thank you to our generous sponsors who helped make this possible:
Hacklings
The Old New Inn (Bourton-on-the Water)
WA Carpentry
And thank you to every single person who donated, shared the campaign, or supported us along the way — including one particularly generous individual who helped make the final push possible.
Because of you, we can now move forward with building a dedicated wellbeing classroom that will make a real and lasting difference to young people across the North Cotswolds.
WHY A WELLBEING CLASSROOM IS NEEDED
Demand for mental health and wellbeing support for young people in the North Cotswolds has never been higher.
At Headspace, we work with children and young people who are experiencing:
Anxiety, low mood and emotional distress
Difficulties with confidence, self-worth and relationships
Challenges linked to school pressures, transition, and family life
Currently, much of our support takes place in borrowed or temporary spaces, which can limit what we are able to offer and how consistently we can support young people.
A dedicated wellbeing classroom will:
Provide a safe, calm and consistent environment for young people who may struggle in busy or clinical settings
Allow us to expand our group sessions, mentoring and early-intervention support
Enable us to reach more young people, earlier, helping to prevent issues from escalating
Give young people a space where they feel listened to, valued and supported
This classroom is not just a building — it is an investment in early intervention, prevention, and long-term wellbeing for young people in our rural community, where access to services can be limited.
NEXT STEP: LET’S BUILD IT
With the funding now secured, our focus turns to designing and preparing the classroom, ready for the January new year.
This new space will enable us to strengthen our support offer and ensure that young people have somewhere they can learn coping strategies, build resilience, and develop the confidence they need to thrive.
We’ll be inviting local people, businesses and supporters to help us bring this space to life through practical support, skills, materials and community spirit.
👉 Watch this space to find out how you can get involved and help create a wellbeing space that will benefit young people for years to come.
